Guan Yin speaks. Day 11, yes you do have a superpower...

"This is Guan Yin. All my love to you.

Many people have a sense of powerlessness, they think,

"Who am I? Just one little cog in the great wheel. Why would I think that I can make a difference?"

Well let's look at the not so light side of history for a moment.

Who in history, through the power of their voice and the intention of their will, their very presence, moved the events of the world? There's the great archetype, Hitler, or Ghengis Khan, Vlad the Impaler, Mussolini, you know. The cast of characters that humans have called evil. They had superpowers, and that power was the impulsion to control, to destroy, to wield themselves in a harmful way. Right up to the current day there are such beings, have always been, and always will be. Call it the dark side, the action of negative karma, cult of personality, it rides the wave of the destroyer.

As must be, there is the other side of this dynamic. See all the light bringers, Jesus, Archangel Michael, Mother Teresa, Lao Tze, the Buddha...and all. These wield the super power of light. All is yin and yang, dark and light, up and down, all faces of the same coin.

There is a teaching that God has two armies, one light and one dark. Humans have a problem with darkness coming from God, but consider this. The light side helps us to bless and be blessed, the dark side helps us to learn lessons, to atone for past mistakes. Neither is intrinsically good or bad, they simply...are. We either come here to learn lessons, or to become free of that circle and transcend the need for it. While you are here, which choice would seem the one that would speed you on your soul journey? And by the way, God is a word that is greatly misunderstood. Just think of it as a great presence of love.

Look at your arsenal of super powers, and examine what that might be for you. Do you follow a tradition of spiritual healing? Of the hero's journey? The Buddha path of compassion and enlightenment? How about a deep love and empathy for the animal kingdom, or children. Perhaps you have a gift and an urge for activism, getting out there and speaking for change. Do you see yourself as a channel for healing? Or teaching? Go deep, go inside and see what is there. What brings an energetic charge of YES! I can do that!

Here is a practice for you.

Go to that stillness space we have discussed, quiet in your 1st Chakra area, breathe light into that area, and into your entire body space. Your breath is your meditation friend, being aware of it can keep you on track and out of thought mode.

Now bring that awareness into your heart area. See your chosen superpower sitting there, waiting for you. It can look like whatever you perceive it to be, a golden light, a holy saint or buddha, a pair of hands, a beating heart, anything.

Continue breathing light into your heart and be still.

Now ask your superpower,

"Do you have a message for me? How shall we go out together to serve this world now?"

Listen. Don't force, wait and see if an image comes to you, or a pure thought. If nothing comes, that is perfect too. Breathe light into this space. When it feels finished, come back to present moment awareness and rest.

If you feel moved to act with your chosen superpower, do that. The planet is in urgent need of healing, helping hands and hearts. You can do that.

Do that.

That is all, I love you."
