Kuan Yin
In the Tao Light Era, Kuan Yin has a new name.
This name is Kuan Yin Ling Hui Sheng Shi,
or Soul intelligence light servant.
Guan Yin in known throughout the world as the Bodhisattva of Compassion. The teaching that I have received is that Guan Yin is in truth a fully realized Buddha, but due to her great humility and heart's desire to serve, she retains the title of Bodhisattva, a being that has turned back from the gates of Nirvana to remain on the earth until all beings are freed from suffering.
Who is Kuan Yin?

Her name is spelled several different ways in different disciplines and countries. In Chinese Buddhism she is known as the height of mercy, compassion, kindness and love. She is a Bodhisattva, a being so enlightened that she stood at the very gate of Nirvana, but heard the cries of suffering of the beings of the earth and chose to remain and take a vow to save all the children of God.
It is generally thought that Guan Yin originated as the being known as Avalokitesvara, a male representation of Bodhisattva. Over time Guan Yin has become a female figure, though many art works and statues show both male and female attributes. In Mahayana Buddhism gender is no obstacle to enlightenment. I like that!

What is Thousand Hands Thousand Eyes?

Kuan Yin's spiritual teacher was the Buddha Amitabha, or A Mi Tuo Fo, Buddha of Fully Conscious Infinite Light. Upon seeing that she was overwhelmed by her task blessed her with eleven heads to better hear the cries of the suffering, and a thousand arms with which to aid them, and a thousand eyes to better see who is in need. I have heard a tiny bit of these cries that are very present in the world today, and I can tell you that it is not a journey for the faint of heart. My own spiritual teacher, Dr. and Master Zhi Gang Sha, has enabled me to be a Thousand Hands Thousand Eyes healer and to reside in her lineage. I am humbly honored by this great blessing and opportunity to serve.

What is the Da Bei Zhou?

The Da Bei Zhou is the great Compassion Mantra of Kuan Yin, that is the chanting and singing of the names of 87 Buddhas that are also incarnations of Guan Yin. When this mantra is chanted mindfully, soulfully, the Buddhas come to heal and bless as possible and appropriate. Light pours from this practice which is very powerful.

She also protects seafarers, farmers and travelers and cares for souls in the underworld. Guan Yin's new light era name is understood to be "Ling Hui Sheng Shi, or Soul Light Intelligence Servant.
