Guan Yin Speaks. Day 17. Eyes on the horizon, sailors

"This is Guan Yin, greetings to you.

The being through which this teaching flows gave a teaching today on the 16th Buddha of the Great Compassion Mantra, Sa Po Sa Duo Nan Mo Po Sa Do Nan Mo Po Qie. This a powerful Buddha, whose wisdom says all souls can relieve the suffering of the yin yang world if serious Tao practice is undertaken. In the meditation this being received a guidance.

An image was shown of a ship sailing on glassy clear waters, under a serene and cloudless sky. The guidance came,

"Keep your eye always on the horizon as you sail your ship of soul. The light is always there. Look behind you. Do you see the endless trail of little ships in your wake, like baby ducks? These are the souls following your lead now. They trust you. You may not have meant to, but this is your place now, leader, healer, teacher. It is an enormous responsibility, do not lose your humility."

The image changed then, to a stormy sea, with high foamy waves and dark wind blown sky.

Again comes guidance.

"The great teacher has said, "stay on the tops of the waves when passing through any storm." What does this mean? Disaster is at the bottom of the trough of waves. This is where the ships can go under. Keep your eye on the horizon, whatever it may be, and do not look down. Do not look left or right, sail your ship straight and unwavering, those who follow will take heart by your example."

It is a beautiful teaching, and true. By now the student will understand that it is sometimes not so easy or simple.

If you do look, and see that there are great monsters in the water, remember that much that seems to threaten is illusion. The analogy of the horizon can be what you imagine it to be. The horizon can symbolize the great heart of your teacher, or the sun, or Heaven. It may be your own infinite Divine Soul Self, or the essence of your soul journey.

The instruction of the teaching is that you are not to be dragged down by "The bitter sea" of mortal experience. It can be convincing to be sure, but so is the calling and the light of the soul. Follow that calling.

Don't forget the little ships behind, and if you look forward with spiritual vision you may see that YOU are in a wake of a much bigger ship.
