Guan Yin speaks. Day 10, Signs...the movie.

“Good morning. This is Guan Yin. It is my joy to offer this writing to you.

There is a movie that showed up on your planet some time ago, called

“Signs.”

The premise was that aliens had come to the earth to wreak havoc, and centered on a family of a widowed man, his children, and his brother. The man is embittered by the loss of his wife, and has lost his faith. It is a well written movie, funny and sad both. The landscape of the movie is dotted with strange signs. The watcher doesn’t get it until the very end, that all the odd phrases, images, behaviors and events, lead to the culmination of the film, the ending of the aliens. That last event could not have happened without all the previous events combined together. I won’t ruin it for you if you haven’t watched it.

The point is, and how this relates to your spiritual journey, is that signs are available to us all, all the time. They are often so subtle, or so often repeated, that we stop paying attention.

Look at where you are now on your soul exploration path. What has happened to bring you here?

Sometimes earth souls who are striving to enlightenment find themselves in a seemingly dark place, repeating the same practices, mantras, services over and over. Some say,

“Nothing is happening here, I’m going to go skiing and forget the whole thing.”

and some say,

“I am going to follow the teachings and keep my shoulder to this wheel, no matter what. Even if it is dark, it won’t stay dark forever.”

Which of these attitudes do you think will serve you best on the journey out of dreaming?

On my own long, long journey, I have found that sometimes it is one small but profound ray of light that streams in for a moment. It lights the mind, the heart, causes the soul to soar in perfect understanding for an instant. It is enough. Enough to hold you through the next,

“Chop wood and carry water”

segment of the sojourn.

Keep in mind this thought,

“This happened, because all those other things happened. If I had not been faithful, disciplined, joyful and humble in my service, this ray of light would not have shined on me.”

Sometimes it is more than a moment. The teacher says to you,

“I am proud of you. You have done well. I offer this blessing to you. I offer my love to you.”

Would that not be worth the world and all that is in it?

Where would you be now if you had not followed the signs, and created your own signs? Make signposts! Write it down. Look at it later. You can say,

“Because I started this wholeness practice 6 months ago, I feel better. My pain is gone. I am healthy.”

or,

“Because I chanted a sacred mantra for many hours in a day, my mind is clear and peaceful. My heart is open and loving.”

Don’t give up because it’s dark, or you feel stuck. Push through, follow your own signs. Remember the ray of light, or the Master’s loving eyes upon you. Heaven watches, the Master watches. As the saying goes,

“Hang in there.”

That is all. I love you.”
