Compassion Buddha Meditation Class

Meditate to Guan Yin's                       "Da Bei Zhou"

Great Compassion

Mantra

Guan Yin, also called Kuan Yin, Guan Shi Yin Pusa and more, is known in Eastern cultures as the Buddha of Compassion.  She was at the gates of Nirvana, but turned back when she heard the cries of suffering from humanity and all souls, vowing to not receive full enlightenment as long as one soul was suffering.  She is called a Bodhisattva Buddha, known as "The one who perceives the sounds of the world".

This sacred mantra was taught to Guan Yin by her teacher, Qian Guang Jing Wang. He also transmitted 1,000 eyes and 1,000 hands (these numbers are symbolic of an infinite amount) to assist her.  The Da Bei Zhou calls and names 87 Buddhas to be present, and is a powerful mantra to bless any area of life.  The Da Bei Zhou is chanted routinely in Eastern Cultures, by millions of people.

Chant

"Weng Mah Ni Bah

Ma Hong"

Weng Mah Ni Bah Ma Hong is Guan Yin's enlightenment mantra, also know in Sanskrit as "Om mani padme hum." The words of the mantra correspond to the 2nd through 7th chakras, also called the  Soul Houses, and brings light to each of them as it is chanted.  My spiritual teacher, Dr. and Master Zhi Gang Sha, is from China, and so the language and terminology of my practice is often in Chinese.  Other mantras can be introduced as we progress.

guided meditation

Time permitting, a guided meditation will be offered, this can be an effective way to receive guidance and insights.

silent meditation

Sitting in stillness is beneficial at many levels. I would offer a period of time of silent meditation with the participants chanting their own mantras, or myself chanting quietly for the group until stillness is reached.

Blessings

As a Guan Yin Lineage holder I am authorized to offer what is called a Thousand Eyes Thousand Hands blessing, which invokes Guan Yin's Thousand Eyes Thousand Eyes to bring light and healing to a person who makes a request.  Always as is appropriate, Divine knows best.

Fees

I would charge $15 for the meditation itself,

Which would be applied to the honor fee for the blessing, which is $35 for the TETH blessing.  No one would be required to receive a blessing. I also offer a Guan Yin Crown Chakra blessing which is very powerful.  The honor fee for this is $100. This is a prescribed fee from the Tao Academy, and is higher due to the large amount of virtue that comes with this sacred blessing.
